    (per Darren Scragg)
For the new members of the committee, please find attached a draft submission form to be used by RGOs should they wish to host the national race in coming years. Purpose is to give ASSA some objective criteria to assess multiple submissions as well as ensure a RGO can host a successful event. (If we know the history of a club, then is less relevant for a single submission but may still be handy.) Is a draft only, so happy to hear your constructive feedback.

Is there any reason why ASSA could not fund the national race, having it moved from state to state each year, with stated based clubs/mushers volunteering to run it?

The other thing i would like to see is a set date for the race, allowing people to plan to attend the race well in advance.

That would be difficult given it will rotate between RGOs to fit in with their existing races. However, if it is awarded to a RGO early enough, then people cam plan to attend. Perhaps the announcmemnt of the next location could be made at the previous year's event; Olympic style. I.e. we announce the 2010 host at Goldseekers this year?

Andrew, please excuse my ignorance but what does RGO stand for? I went through a whole year as ASSA Rep without anyone expanding on acronyms last year, and I must have been too shy to ask. confused I've obviously bold-ed up.

Jennie -- RGO = Race Giving Organisation (or at least this is the way I take it)
But I do like some of your !! lol!

Not sure why "Giving" - ROC - (Race Organising Committee) might be better. Idea

OK thats sorted - we have made another decision.

We shall now refer to RGO's as R.O.C's
