Just a heads up to keep an eye on the brand new Denali Double's race, put together by Jeff King, which starts on Feb 11 in Cantwell, Alaska.

This new race, which allows two people to go out with a team of up to 20 dogs, is sure to be an interesting one. Made more interesting for us, as NSW ASSA State Rep Klaus Klein is participating!!!
Klaus will be racing with Sebastian Schnuelle - last years Yukon Quest winner, and second place Iditarod finisher.

I've been privy to some photos of Klaus & Sebastian's training runs, and this sure looks like it's going to be an adventure!

More information on the race can be found here -

Good luck Klaus and have fun!!!

Having run whip sled with Tony Greenaway and 13 of his Mals two winters back, all I can say to Klaus is HANG ON! Previously I had only run 2 and 3 dogs, and the power on take off was ridiculous - the front half of the sled was about two feet in the air. It was the most fun you can have with your pants on!! That 1 hour run taught me more than my previous five years of mushing. Good luck to Klaus. Not envious at all!!!!
