Obviously plenty of shade, heaps of water and an elevated Deck(platform) to let the breeze circulate all help.

Water slowly running over the roof of the kennel and recycled back into the tank for re-circulation with a light spray system where the dogs go in and out, similar to a dairy

We use the good old kids clam style pool, the dogs jump in and splash around. I also heard about people who use a horse style trough that is raised off the ground or hung off a window sill so the naughty ones dont paddle all the water out of their bowls when we are out.

We have buckets hung off the fence and raised so ratbag dogs don't paddle in them - or walk off with them

We have a pretty good air conditioner, and tiled floor. Puppies love being inside in summer, they lay on the tiles, under the air flow vents, and they keep pretty cool. Also, playing water fights with the hose when we water the garden always keeps them cool... and makes for some great photos!!

Often on a hot day like yesterday at 41C Ash will bake in the sun for 15 minutes then run into the air conditioned house and cool off before going out again!

Frozen treats like raw bones, carrots or whole eggs or an ice cream container, half fill with water or soup and freeze, add layer of treats, more water or soup and freeze again!

For small puppies -- wet towels on wet concrete/pavers. Also frozen bottles of water for them to lie on/next to.

ice blocks/bricks in their water bowls... beats to things the heat and boredom.. Be careful having large amounts of water around ie pools etc it brings in the snakes!!! and bacteria will flourish in them so they need to be cleaned regularly!
