Getting started in Tassie

Hi everyone, I have finally received some interest from my local dog training club to have a chat with them about dog sledding. I think they are the key to getting it out there as an option for the wider dog loving community. But now that it is actually happening, I don't know what to say/suggest when we have a chat. I've given them the link to the ASSA's webpage with the beginner's guide, so that's the information they have. But no one else will have equipment. How should I/we proceed? Does anyone have any advice from when they have 'conquered' a new area???
