1st Annual 'Royal Canin' Falls Creek Sled Dog Classic 2011

In 2011, the 'Royal Canin' Falls Creek Sled Dog Classic is hosting a 2 day race for 2, 3, 4 and 6 dog classes commencing on Saturday, July 30 at 6.30pm and the final run on Sunday, July 31 at 6.30pm.
Cash, Trophies and Product Prizes awarded to all first to third place class winners and Product Gifts for all participants.
With a captive audience of well over a thousand spectators, mushers and their dogs will enjoy a atmosphere and challenging trail unlike anything they have ever experienced before.
This race is quite unique with the race being held throughout the heart of the Alpine Village, on snow, under lights and the night sky. A style of racing seen consistently throughout Europe, but a first for the Australian Sled Dog Racing scene.
The Falls Creek Sled Dog Classic was born to provide Australian Mushers and their dogs another snow race in the country, in addition to the A5K, to add to their racing calendars. In a country where mushers are limited by environmental conditions and long to run their dogs on snow, they now have the opportunity to do that twice a year.
The future success of this event is dependent upon the support it receives from the Sled Dog Racing community. The greater support we get, the greater investment Falls Creek and Royal Canin are willing to put in, to promote and support snow sled dog racing further on a national level in the years to come.

Quay West Resort & Spa Falls Creek is situated at the start and finish lines of the race and across the road from the designated event car park. They have come on-board providing VERY attractive rates for our participants. We are unable to publicly list these rates though as the resort does not want these rates getting out to the public. For those interested in the 'rates' Quay West Resort & Spa Falls Creek is offering please email sponsorship@fcsdc.net and they will be forwarded to you direct.

On Monday, 18 April 2011 Quay West Resort & Spa Falls Creek will be issuing Falls Creek Sled Dog Classic Inc. with an Event Access Code for our participants, their families and support teams to use when making their booking with them. Please keep an eye out on the website on Monday to get this Access Code.
The club will also post this code to the lists.
