I am debating (still) weather to buy a pair of footy boots, but I have heard that they can be slippery on the deck of the scooter, but that the extra grip is good while scooting, what is your opinion and why.

    thank you Smile

Different tracks call for different shoes of course.

For mine I think a good pair of touch football or grass sport shoes are a good compromise. Very grippy on the kick plate and very comfortable.

Tend to agree with Andrews comments. I, however, having had a past life as a cross country runner use cross country running spikes in muddy or slippery conditions. They are pretty hard to come by, and can be a bit uncomfortable if you've not worn them before. In drier conditions I tend to wear either a Merrell Hiking shoe or boot - great support and very good grip (but they can be expensive). I guess the fotwear I choose shows up my prior sports/hobbies.
